Mat Hunnicutt

Mat is a Senior Financial Planner and Partner at True Wealth Group who has spent more than two decades helping individuals and families build clarity, confidence, and financial independence.

His approach is grounded, relational, and intentional. Mat combines empathy with direct guidance and helps clients make thoughtful decisions that align their financial resources with what matters most to them. He is motivated by helping people achieve goals they once believed were out of reach and by turning uncertainty into possibility.

As a co-founder of True Wealth Group, Mat was driven by a desire to build something unique: a firm rooted in partnership, integrity, and long-term impact. His vision is to create an organization where clients, colleagues, and the broader community experience true wealth through freedom, purpose, and shared growth.

Mat earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Economics and Master of Business Administration from Willamette University. Mat is a CFP® professional and holds the AIF® designation.

Mat lives in Bend, Oregon with his wife, Jamie. Outside of work, they are avid skiers who enjoy spending time together outdoors, whether camping, snowshoeing, hiking, or cross-country skiing. A fun fact: Mat completed his first marathon at the end of an Ironman triathlon.
