Don Klotter

Don Klotter is a Senior Financial Executive at True Wealth Group with over 30 years of experience in investment management, wealth advisory, and institutional client relationships across the U.S. and Europe. He brings a global perspective shaped by senior leadership roles spanning multiple continents and financial markets.

Don most recently served as Head of Asset Management, Americas at EFG Asset Management, where he helped build the firm's U.S. investment platform. He previously held leadership roles as Global Head of External Sales in Zurich and Managing Director in Portland, spent 14 years at Mazama Capital Management, and began his career in structured finance and trade finance at State Street Corporation and U.S. Bancorp.

Don's approach is relationship-driven and shaped by years of working across different countries and cultures. He values authentic communication and long-term thinking over short-term results, a perspective he has shared publicly through writing for Forbes, Investment & Pensions Europe, and Financial Advisor, and through board service with the Boys and Girls Aid Society, Providence Heart Institute, and the University of Oregon Alumni Association.

Don earned his MA in International Business from Columbia University and his BA in Political Science and German from the University of Oregon's Clark Honors College. Outside of work, his favorite activities are fishing and travel. A fun fact: Donald speaks German and has lived in Europe on four separate occasions, totaling 13 years abroad.
